Our Network

Our incredible network consists of our many departments that make Mamas a thriving, empowering & beneficial organisation to be a part of!

Within our departments, we have a bunch of WONDERFUL volunteers who really help drive Mamas towards its successes.

These volunteers deserve our respect, admiration and recognition for their continued efforts within the community.

Check out who they are and what they achieve within their positions!

Meet the Team

Come and meet our wonderful Teams below...

AND YES, They are ALL are in a Voluntary capacity.

(The best bunch of people you could ever hope to meet!)

The Mamas Directors

Paige Josham

Founder & Business Relationships Manager

Paige founded "Mamas" as a Facebook Network back in 2018.

As Business Relationships Manager, Paige is well connected and extremely knowledgeable about other organisations, wide across the city and beyond, maintaining those relationships and contacts so that we can create a cohesive network!

She helps construct the organisations infrastructure & policies and advocates for empowerment and positive mental health.

Our team likes to describe Paige as a someone who has a fluffy heart <3

Vicky m.jpg

Vicky Millman

Co-Director & Social Impact Manager

Vicky joined the team back in November 2019 initially as a moderator of the Swaps & Freebies group... now she manages it!

Vicky oversees all the community beneficial aspects of Mamas from our Online Network, to our Surplus Team. If you've gained support from the Mamas Organisation - Vicky will have overseen every aspect of that structure.

She ensures fairness, equality and the care of everyone under her wing.

Vicky's team nickname is "Magic", as she has a midas touch for everything she turns her hand to.

Kelsey.jpg

Kelsey Booy

Co-Director & Mamas Hub Manager

Kelsey was an original member of the founded group and became a team member in March 2019.

Kelsey heads up the organisations "office" in Bradley Stoke - The Mamas Hub.

From there, she co-ordinates the Stay & Plays, Parties and works with the Team to create the Events you can come along to!

Kelsey also helps write Grant Applications for Mamas and brings those projects to life.

A firm but fair character with a subtle softer side who loves nothing more than a good Spreadsheet and evening productivity when most might be sleeping!

The Swaps & Freebies Team

Our Swaps & Freebies Team manage our biggest online Network, on the Facebook Platform. Through this group families can obtain help with any item they may need. They approve 250+ posts per day.

2023-2024: 67,000 posts were approved, with 312,000 comments moderated!

If the average post saved a family £20 (which lets face it, its likely FAR MORE) then this team is responsible for saving families 1.34 MILLION POUNDS every year.

I volunteer for Mamas because collecting surplus food means good food doesn't go to waste and can benefit others in my local community.

Turning what would end up in the bin into something that helps people instead.

I enjoy volunteering for Mamas because I want to do something good. I believe that kindness can be given back to others and I want to show my children that it is important to help one another when life gets tough.

How can we expect our children to know and experience the joy of giving, unless we teach them that the greater pleasure in life lies in the art of giving rather than receiving.

Volunteering at Mamas is about creating a community where we can support each other in times of need.

I believe in the power of kindness and solidarity, in the ability of each of us to make a difference.

Give, and it will given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Monday/Friday
My Mamas volunteering journey has always been about life beyond just me. Its about the present, the future and the legacy our Mamas generation can leave impactfully for all our children. The message of kindness without reciprocation, consideration for what we have in this life & nurturing relationships you never knew you could make.

I couldn't be more grateful for how Mamas has shaped me as a person and allowed me to soar!

Friday
I love volunteering for Mamas as it gives me a safe space of like minded, similar goaled women. To help our community and to show our own children the power that kindness can have. Mamas has given me friendship beyond all measure.  I needed Mamas more than I knew, in more ways than one. Thank you Mamas for giving me my second family and the time I needed to do something for me!
