MAMAS BRISTOL -
WE ARE HERE TO HELP
Who We Are
Since 2018, Mamas Bristol has been present in the South Gloucestershire and Bristol Area.
We have a Team of 8 volunteers that help run The Mamas Hub with a further 13 volunteers helping across our Online & Surplus Departments.
We have helped THOUSANDS of families with
- Food, Sanitary & Hygiene items
- Clothes
- Furniture & Household Items
- Baby Nappies, Formula & Equipment
and so much more!

We will also provide powerful signposting to families to other organisations who are equipped to help on a more local, long term basis. We aim to help alleviate the stresses families experience rapidly and with a high success rate of sourcing effective help and successful results.
We reduce waste, social isolation and the cost of living. We re-use items improving environmental impact and expenditure.
We educate our younger generation to consider others, the meaning of physical belongings and their preservation. And we help restore faith that there are good people out there willing to help!

Our Mamas Network
The Community built for Families.

Mamas Bristol CIC helps create opportunities to reduce the costs of caring for dependants. We do this through a 3 pronged approach. Reuse, Reduce and Community.
We have an online presence of 38,000+ people across Facebook & Instagram.
01
Mamas Bristol: Swaps and Freebies is an online Facebook platform that supports family members in our community with dependants. It’s a portal for everyone to offer free items to other families so that they can reuse and benefit from the donation. By members using our platform to donate perfectly reusable items to other families, we are saving items from being disposed of to landfill, reducing waste & our environmental impact.
If every post requesting or providing help saved each person £20, our minimum estimated saving cost is £1.35 million each year on this platform alone.
02
Mamas Bristol: Food Aid provides information & food support to people who need assistance with food supplies and signposting.
On this network, we host 14 Mamas Surplus Champs who collect food daily across the city!
This food is distributed from outside their homes for the Community to help themselves to what they need for their families. This system can be the difference between eating that day and not.
03
The Mamas Bristol inbox is an approachable and accessible service providing confidential peer support, advice and guidance. Our members, the public and organisations can connect with us from a central inbox overseen by the leadership team. We problem solve, provide encouragement, sustainable solutions and increase knowledge of services and organisations across our demographic which can provide professional support. For some members, they just need a listening ear, and some, help to navigate our wide range of services.
04
The Mamas Hub is our own community centre that the team established in 2022, inviting families across the city to come for peer support, affordable play, emergency provision and community aid. We invite families to have cuppas with us, share their stories and we LISTEN. We host fun, impactful & free events that can better our position in life. Whether that be financial help, training courses or give-away events, our team want to make a DIFFERENCE to our community's way of life.
05
Mamas Family Larder
The Mamas Family Larder based within The Mamas Hub aims to provide families with emergency provision when other options are not available or accessible.
Food Banks provide a local community with 1 day slot for 2 hours, after you have had the necessary referral and all the criteria met.
Our Larder is opened 3 times a week for 1 hour and all you need to do is speak to us about receiving a parcel.
Our parcels provide a family with enough food for 2-3 days whilst they cannot access other measures. We will always follow up with effective signposting to other food accessible services for your local area.
We stock Longlife & Dried Foods, Sanitary & Hygiene Goods and Nappies.
